Free Pre-K program for children who meet certain requirements
When:
Saturday mornings, from September 15 through May 4
Time:
9:00 am to 11:00 am, with free breakfast at 8:30 *
Where:
Only in Silver Spring – at the Saturday School center at Montgomery Blair High School
*Parents must attend the program with their children.
Our new Rising Star Pre-K program provides young children with early learning opportunities. This program is designed for children who are 3 and 4 years old, and who live in homes where English is the second language spoken.
The morning sessions emphasize social and emotional development, as well as help in gaining early English literacy and math skills.
Enrollment is by referral only
Children must be referred to this program based on the following criteria:
- English is the second language spoken at home
- Montgomery County residents
- Not enrolled in any other school program
- Meets income eligibility guidelines
