Our special Pre-K program is still available – and free – for children who meet certain requirements
There are still spaces available in our Rising Stars Pre-K program.
This is an early learning opportunity designed for children who are 3 and 4 years old, and who live in homes where English is the second language spoken.
The morning sessions emphasize social and emotional development. The program also helps very young children begin to gain skills in early English literacy and math.

Enrollment is by referral only
Children must be referred to this program based on the following criteria:
- English is the second language spoken at home
- Montgomery County residents
- Not enrolled in any other school program
- Meet income eligibility guidelines
When:
Saturday mornings, from September 15 through May 4
Time:
9:00 am to 11:00 am, with free breakfast at 8:30 *
Where:
Only in Silver Spring – at the Saturday School center at Montgomery Blair High School
(*Parents must attend the program with their children)
