During the activity, students practiced basic golf skills and participated in friendly challenges, helping them build coordination, focus, and confidence. Most importantly, it gave students the opportunity to experience how physical activity can be both enjoyable and something they can share with their families. Tee Up! |

Celebrating the Lunar New Year at the 2026 LEAAP Banquet |
On February 26, GBTLA joined LEAAP for their annual banquet celebrating Lunar New Year – a holiday celebrated by many Asian cultures. Participants enjoyed good food,
time in community, and rich Asian cultural entertainment, while welcoming the year of the horse, and raising scholarship funds for graduating MCPS students who are planning to major in education. |

The 31st Annual George B. Thomas Sr. Learning Academy Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, at Blue Mash Golf Course. This flagship fundraiser supports Saturday School’s mission of providing tutoring and STEM enrichment to over 3,200 Montgomery County Public School students. |
