CODING

Our Coding course is an immersive introduction to computer programming. Offered to elementary students – grades 3 to 5
– the course teaches computer programming skills through a variety of coding activities using multiple coding programs.
CYBER ROBOTICS

Learn to code and gain the skills to program an actual robot! Using the CoderZ platform middle-school students – grades 6-8 will arrange codes to send different commands to their robots while they sharpen their problem-solving skills. as well as learn about basic and more advanced robotic operations.

MCPS students Grades K through 12 may attend after registering for Saturday School for $85 per year ($40 for students who receive FARMS).

RISING STARS (Pre-K)

The Rising Stars Pre-K Program is for 3 and 4-year-old children and provides an early learning opportunity that emphasizes social emotional development, early literacy, and math. The program is aligned with the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) curriculum.

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten classes are taught by early childhood educators and is aligned with the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) curriculum. Saturday School provides more time for students to practice the reading and math concepts taught during the week.
The welcoming environment helps build self-esteem and promotes a life-long love of learning. This support is offered every Saturday on the dates and times below.
SAT/ACT PREP

Are you ready for high scores on your SAT/ACT testing?
Saturday School has the tools for success. Any high school student in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) may attend as many classes as needed to accomplish their standardized testing goals.
ADULT LITERACY

Montgomery County Coalition for Adult Literacy (MCAEL) English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Courses
Do you need help learning and practicing English? Do you live in Montgomery County? Saturday School has adult learning courses designed just for you!
Boost your English speaking skills with our expert teachers and structured courses. All parents with children in Saturday School are encouraged to apply.
The cost is $10.00 USD per session
COSMETOLOGY

NEW! Are you interested in make-up and cosmetology?
Saturday School is back in session offering our cosmetics program. Learn what it takes to begin a career in beauty and learn theories, techniques, and practical skills from industry professionals.
This program is for Montgomery County Public School’s Middle and High School students in grades 6 to 12. Offered in two parts, students must complete Semester A prior to taking
Semester B.
Cosmetology courses are $140 per session per student
(five classes in each session).

AUTOMOTIVE CONCEPTS

NEW!Are you interested in learning about cars and the automotive industry? Saturday School is piloting our first-ever Automotive Concepts program. Learn what it takes to begin a career in either Auto Collision or Auto Technology from current Auto teachers and industry professionals. Students will explore
concepts such as auto restoration, painting, maintenance and sales.
This non-credit enrichment program is for Montgomery County Public School’s Middle and High School students in grades
6 to 12.
The cost is $140.00 USD per semester ($40 for MCPS students already enrolled in an school automotive programs),
BOOLEAN GIRL Coding

Boolean Girl Coding (Two Sessions)
Join the Boolean Girl at Saturday School for an innovative, hands-on coding and engineering program. Learn to code in a fun, collaborative environment!
This program is for Montgomery County Public School’s Elementary School students and offered as 2-hours of coding for children in grades 3 to 8. Offered as a 5-week course in 2 Sessions at @ locations Springbrook High School and Paint Branch High School. There is limited availability for 15 students per session.
Springbrook HS (Grades 3-5)
Learn to code and build games in Scratch.
