CODING

Our Coding course is an immersive introduction to computer programming. Offered to elementary students – grades 3 to 5
– the course teaches computer programming skills through a variety of coding activities using multiple coding programs.

CYBER ROBOTICS

Learn to code and gain the skills to program an actual robot! Using the CoderZ platform middle-school students – grades 6-8 will arrange codes to send different commands to their robots while they sharpen their problem-solving skills. as well as learn about basic and more advanced robotic operations.

RISING STARS (Pre-K)

The Rising Stars Pre-K Program is for 3 and 4-year-old children and provides an early learning opportunity that emphasizes social emotional development, early literacy, and math. The program is aligned with the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) curriculum.

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten classes are taught by early childhood educators and is aligned with the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) curriculum. Saturday School provides more time for students to practice the reading and math concepts taught during the week.

The welcoming environment helps build self-esteem and promotes a life-long love of learning. This support is offered every Saturday on the dates and times below.

SAT/ACT PREP

Are you ready for high scores on your SAT/ACT testing? Saturday School has the tools for success. Any high school student in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) may attend as many classes as needed to accomplish their standardized testing goals.

CRASH COURSE TO COLLEGE

Let Saturday School help you with the complicated path to college entrance. Students from any high school in the county may attend after registering into Saturday School for $85 ($40 for students who receive FARMS). Students may attend as many classes as needed to accomplish their college admission goals.

AP/IB SUPPORT

Advanced Placement (AP)
International Baccalaureate (IB)

Are you enrolled in MCPS Advanced Placement / International Baccalaureate courses? Saturday School offers support for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)students enrolled in this curriculum.

The Scope and Sequence from the College Board will be followed in preparation for the AB/IB May 2025 exams.

For MCPS students enrolled in an AP/IB class.

COSMETOLOGY 101/102

Intro to Cosmetology 101 A,B / 102 A,B (Four Sessions)
Saturday School is piloting our first-ever cosmetics program for students interested in makeup and cosmetology. Learn what it takes to begin a career in beauty and learn theories, techniques, and practical skills from industry professionals.

Students must complete Session 101 A or B before taking Session 102.

Session 101A: Study cosmetology and the history of the beauty industry (hair, skin, and nails).

Session 101B: Explore the biological makeup of the skin and learn about hair care.

Session 102A: Create visual aids focused on protective hairstyles, natural hair care, and nail care.

Session 102B: Students will demonstrate their knowledge and showcase their ability. This session will conclude with a fashion, makeup and hair show.
