Speaking on Black History &
Sandy Spring Slave Museum
Dr. Troy E. Boddy recently spoke to students attending
Saturday School at the Paint Branch location about the Sandy Spring Slave Museum & African Art Gallery and the powerful Black history located right in their own backyard.
A special thank you to Mr. Troy Horsley, Center Director, and Dr. Lakeisha Lashley, GBTLA Executive Director, for the invitation and for their continued commitment to uplifting young scholars.
The museum staff is always honored to educate, elevate, and liberate minds.
Bring your family to the museum any Saturday (after Saturday School) or Sunday from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM and be a part of living history.
When students know where they come from and learn to use the tools they already possess, it unleashes unlimited possibilities.
Dr. Troy E. Boddy
History is not distant – it is personal, powerful, and present.
